What type of E-collar have you used after your dog has been neutered/spayed?

Willy will be neutered soon and I was wondering what type of E-collar you have used after your dog has been neutered /spayed? Most seem so uncomfortable to wear, and Willy goes in and out the doggy door, so I don't think an Elizabethan collar would work. I just don't want him to rip out the stitches.OUCHY! Has anyone not used an E-collar?
Has anyone tried the BITE NOT collar rather than the cone?

So far, no one has replied that has actually had to use the collar. Hopefully that will be the case with Willy.
Thanks for everyone's comments.
Lucca's inscision was glued. I thought it would be easier...not!! I kept the E collar on Lucca or 8 days. After the vet checked it and told me it could come off he proceeded to chew the glue off:) Thank goodness it was all healed. I think it depends on if your dog is a licker or not.
Wow! The glue thing seems to be popular. I don't know if my vet uses it. Hopefully, Willy won't be a lciker. I'll just have to wait and see, Thanks Carla.
Hi,

Cooper was neutered at about 6 months. He did lick at his stitches a little bit when we got him home, so instead of the collar, we put my son's tighty whitey underwear on backwards and pulled his tail out the hole. They ride up just far enough to cover the whole area. IT WAS AWESOME! Just had to remember to take them off when we let him out to pee and poop! Cooper was about 45 pounds and I used my sons kids M/L size undies.
That's the same weight as Willy is, so I'll get a couple of pairs of M/L boys undies. Thanks Terri
Charlie just got spayed a week ago. At first, she was not bothering it at all, then she started to lick. I did not want to put a cone on her, so I put a rib knit tank top - AKA blank blank beater - on her. I cut out the leg hole on either side of the tank top, and tie a knot on her back to keep it snug. It works really nice. Sort of like a baby onesies undershirt. Keep her from actually licking the stitches.
Thanks for the info. Glad Charlie came through her surgery okay.
I love the pix of her in the water.
We didn't use a collar for Jamie: she was pretty much out of it a day or two after the surgery and when she was more herself, she would only lick gently once or twice then leave it alone. I hope your puppy's surgery goes well.
Willy was neutered yesterday ~ and ~ my vet does not think that a collar is necessary anymore after a neuter. Yippee!
Willy is doing fine, you wouldn't know that yesterday he was a little zombie like, as today he is back to his normal happy-go-lucky self. A small amount of licking in the incision area, but that's all, and I will continue to monitor him.
So all my worries were in vain. But everyone who replied helped ease my nervousness. Thanks.
