Brooks is almost 10 months old and has started to matt like crazy. I need help! I am looking to get a new brush and comb. I know about Les Pooch...but haven't convinced my hubby that its worth the 50 bucks! What are some other brush/comb options? It's driving me crazy..its like I brush him out, then he's matted again within hours. Help me!
They'd lick all of the peanut butter off of themselves, so it wouldn't have any time to work it's peanut butter magic. lol What a mess. If they didn't lick it off, they'd immediately go roll in grass or dirt. Imagine the stuff that would stick to them then.
Mine is the same age and also matting, it's been driving me crazy. I trimmed her chest and tummy area myself and that has helped. Last week I ordered the Les Poochs green brush (she is 19 pds) and I am so happy that I did. I also didn't want to spend the bucks, but I have to say so far it's been worth it. Follow the instructions and the matts come out a lot easier. I spent a fraction of the time getting them out than I did earlier in the week. And of course the next day there are more matts, but then it only took 15 minutes to brush them out. True test today, she got in the pool with us and then I gave her a bath, as soon as she's dry I'm going to use the brush again and see how it works. She tends to matt more after being wet. Good luck.
I have a question....once they start to matt, do they always matt or is it just when they're "blowing" their puppy fur? Will he outgrow it or will he always matt? Beckett is just alittle over a year old now. He just started to matt a month or two ago. Now it seems like everyday he has little matts or knots in his fur. I brush him almost everyday. I'm afraid if I don't brush him, he'll matt up. I bought a CC brush. I really didn't want to send that much for a Les Pooch. It works alright but now I'm wondering if I'd have to brush less and not as often if I got the Les pooch.? He never matted before and I'm was hoping that after he won't matt anymore..?
When Yankee started losing his puppy hair, he matted a lot but now he rarely gets matts. It is the puppy hair coming out that gets tangled in the adult hair coming in. That's what a groomer told me.
That's encouraging, I hope the same thing is true for Beckett, He never matted before but now he has a tangle or knot everyday! How long does it take? I can't wait,,lol,
