Hi all. I am so so disappointed with how my Otto looks, that I can't even post any pictures of him. He just got groomed yesterday, and the groomer totally shaved him off (not down to his skin, but still very short). The first time she groomed him, I was SO happy. He looked so cute, with a floppy head, floppy boots, and a short body (but not shaved). Now he just looks like some bald skinny dog with a floppy head.

How long until he starts to look normal again?

Thanks for any advice. I guess I have to look at the bright side. He'll be easy to care for for a while, and won't get too dirty at the dog park.

Hee, he! Try to find the humor in his appearance! I shave my girls almost all the way down to the skin (on their bodies and legs) in summer and they look so silly with longer hair on their heads! Children point and laugh at the funny dogs and we have a ball with it. We call them our bobble heads! They LOVE the short cool hair cuts and I love how fast they dry on the boat and after swimming in our creek! We all laugh at them when they roll in the yard after climbing off the grooming table...they love the sensation of grass touching their skin!
The first time I had Lucy clipped close for summer, I just about cried when I saw her. Let me tell you though, she loved it. She was soooo much more comfortable during the hot days. I will always have her clipped short now in the summer months. Also easier to maintain. He will start looking alot better in a couple of weeks. Just let him enjoy it.
