A toy that withstood my puppy's chewing
Sidiqi has not been destructive of our things at all, but of this things... He often chews through a toy within ten minutes of me getting it home. Many of these toys said they could withstand heavy chewing, so I was skeptical when I happened upon the Hurley from West Paw Design at a local dog bakery.
The labeling said the toy, made of Zogoflex, was guaranteed; the bakery owner said if he did chew through it, I could return it for a new one. One time only. (Not a great guarantee--if he chewed through one, he would chew through the next one.)
However, it looks like I won't have to return it, anyway. Sidiqi's been playing with it more than any of his other toys, and it doesn't show any signs of damage. It fits perfectly into his mouth, so he loves to run with it. It floats, too, so I've been throwing it into the pool for him to fetch. Fun all around!

Did you buy on line or at a store. If you bought it at a store, which one?

I agree..these are terrific for all monster chewers. For a while, Oliver chewed through every toy that I bought, long before the credit card bill arrived. Look also for toys made by JW Pet....all very resistant to chewing (they have a webswite, but you have to buy the stuff from one of the many dog sites). Stay away from rawhide in any form...I know that many feel that it's OK, but our doodle would have choked to death on a piece from a compressed rawhide bone, had I not been right there to remove it from the back of his throat. I think that any dog who has really strong jaws should be given toys like you show.

We got Cayenne one for her 1st birthday a couple of weeks ago. She doesn't play with it much. I am going to take her to the water and see if she'll fetch it from the water. I'll have to plan for getting wet as she doesn't go too deep and I'm not about to just let it drift away. The good news, it's still in one piece.

We have one of these too and they are great!! I bought it for Macy's Christmas stocking and she has been unable to destroy it, that's a rarity around here. I bought ours at sitstay.com. Great review Jenel!
