When walking (no side walks) do you walk with traffic or against? I walk with, but I see people walking the other way and it makes me think I am walk the wrong way. I also walk Jordan on my left in a loose heel. It was because Payton walked on my right. I drove my trainers nuts, but it is how I walked them. So, Jordan is walking road side not grass side. I have tried to switch her to the right, but she "finds" ways to end up on the left. She is a good walker no complaints there.
Thanks ahead everyone :)

You should always walk against traffic. Here in the USA that means the left side of the road. Usually your dogs should walk to your left as well. I believe the origination of having the dog walk on your left came from early gun hunting days. Most people are right handed and typically would carry their rifles in the crook of their right arm. In this case you would want your dog on your left to prevent hitting your dog in the head with the gun barrel or worse, accidently shooting your dog.

P.S. A long time ago a wonderful southern matriarch told me 'All real gentlemen walk between those they love and the traffic'.

My dad used to say that if (a woman) walked on the right side of the man, it meant she was "for sale." :)
