Grooming in Memphis

Hi everybody. Just thought I would start a discussion on Doodle groomers in our area. Who do you use and why? I use Mary at Brown Dog Lodge. Out of all groomers I've tried for Gracie, she is the only one I have been to twice. She listens and follows direction!

I tried several groomers including the one at my vet's office prior to the opening of the Petsmart on Germantown Parkway. Because of Petsmart's proximity to my home, I decided to try them. The manager of the grooming salon, Lisa, has groomed my girls ever since. I feel very confident with her because she was a vet tech for ten years prior to becoming a groomer and she has always listened to what I want done and works with their coats to remove any minor mats rather than telling me that they need to be shaved. She is super. My only complaint is the expense!! I'm confident that if the salon was not connected to Petsmart, the cost would be less since Petsmart gets a cut of the cost of grooming for their name and location. I would definately be open to trying your groomer or any others recommended if the costs and care are good.

I had tried my vet and did not like the result, but PetSmart would be way out of the way for me. I too use Mary at Brown Dog and have been very pleased.

That's who I use for Swayze too. I've been very pleased with her. She does listen and do what you ask, even if she dosn't agree.

I have used Lisa at Petsmart---it was good. However, the last time I took my gldendoodle (reagan) in Lisa went home sick and another person groomed her. Oh my....she was butchered to osay the least. I then went ot Mary at Brown DOg and was very, very pleased with the results.
