Hello
My 9 week old puppy has decided to start eating bunny poop when we are outside. I take her away from it and wipe it out of her mouth but does any one have any suggestions on how to stop this? I pick it up when I find it but she's finding it before me because its generally barried in the grass. Should I just keep moving her away from it?

We had the same problem when we got Maddy. She loved deer and bunny poop! She used to hunt for it around the yard. I tried hot sauce on it and vinegar...she still liked it! All I can say is she will grow out of it and in the meantime just try to keep her away from it...but I know that isn't easy. From what I was told it shouldn't hurt them but it's gross and I didn't want her doing it. We just watched her like a hawk. She was 9 weeks old when we got her and she is now 6 months old and doesn't look for it anymore.
Dogs LOVE cat poo. I believe they call it Kitty Rocha!!! Lucca still hasn't broken the habit and he is very quick!!. I assume bunny poo is the same. Bunny Rocha..yummmm
Thanks for the replies. I'm glad to know that it shouldn't hurt them. My previous dog (not a doodle) ate it too for awhile but she was a rescue and really under fed so I chalked it up to that. My Bella has food, in fact she's a grazer and not a goobler so she always has food in her bowl. Hopefully this too will pass...
Duff was really into cat poo as a puppy. Either he scared away all the neighborhood cats and can't find it anymore or he doesn't care for it anymore, maybe both. It was shocking how many local cats were using out yard as their litter box! Bunny poo might have been something he was looking for too, but I never actually caught eating it. He seems like he's past it either way. At least he doesn't eat dog poo.
