Yowling puppy

another question.....
My puppy ( 11 weeks) always yowls and whines.As soon as I leave the room or when she is tethered ,crated.Then she starts barking.
She gets plenty of play and attention and kongs etc.Is this normal puppy behavior,any tips???

Aww............seperation anxiety:( My husband does say the dogs seem very depressed when I am away, but no crying here.

My puppy would whine when I left the room or sometimes when he was crated. He did get better gradually as he got older. He really doesn't do it now.(almost 5 months old) I think it's just a puppy thing. I made sure not to reward him while he was whining or barking...I ignored him when he was whining, etc. Hope this helps.

Thanks.That's good advise. I wish I had found this site when Beckett was really little. He hated it when I left the room. He's OK now. I just hope he's OK when I go back to work next week. He's never been alone for too long. Luckily it won't be all day though. My husband leaves for work a few hours before I get home!
