Something to worry about???

At ruby's 13 week appt the vet was doing her exam when said she felt something hard in rubys abdomen and that she only felt one kidney where they are normally, she didnt seem too worried about it but said to keep an eye on it. Fast forward to 16 week appt. I asked Vet if she still felt the hard lump, which she did, She said she would like to take an xray of it just to check. I said yes of course cuz at this point i am really curious to see what this lump is.was it a crayon or toy from my two year old's collection? . Vet said that the necks of the femoral heads (hips) are very thick and that could mean hip problems in the future if they dont thin out, she said not to worry cuz she still growing. I am starting to notice her waddle weird when she gets excited and she is contantly urinating when excited or just because. She will waddle with her butt down low and pee all over ....is this connected somehow to the lump or the hips??? anyone elses doods do this??? i am worried that this maybe a bigger problem and i dont have any more money to take her to the vet right now for another checkup. :(

yeah i should def look into the insurance thing ...hopefully its not too much im so broke right now!!!
Do puppies every grow out of the waddling submissive peeing thing???? i try to approach her very calmly so she doesnt pee as much but it still happens when she hasnt seen a peticular person in a while (like my mom or sister or even me when i get out of work)....thanks for the reply!

Submissive peeing is something they grow out of...but some take longer than others.
Definitely make sure friends/guests ignore her a bit before they greet her. And train your friends/family to NOT hover over her but maybe crouch down at her level and without making eye contact let her come to them.
The waddling I wouldn't worry about..puppies ALL waddle.

yes both parents were tested and cleared for hips guess that does mean everything. Im going to call my breeder in the morning to ask about it. I hope she grows out of this peeing thing its driving me nuts i feel like im walking on eggshells to keep her from piddling all over

My Gracie did the peeing thing as a pup. I also was careful to ignore her myself upon greeting and have friends do the same for a few minutes when they visited. We also tried to have visitors greet her outside so the clean up was not an issue. She grew out of sometime around 8 or 9 months. She only does it now when she sees our trainer after not having seen her for a long time!

Our aussiedoodle does pee sometimes when people come in. I thought it was from excitement, however now I see the submission that may be involved. Funny, we thought she was just REAL excited to see my husband whenever he came home, but know I see she's just be submissive. HUH! Wait till I tell him she's not as excited to see him as we thought!!! LOL (Actually for the past couple of months, she really hasn't done that too much - but does when some guests come over)

Lucy did the sub. peeing a good long while. She is 3 1/2 now and does not do it anymore except with my 1 grandson and that is not too often. She does do the butt wiggle though when she sees us and gets really excited. When we come in the house after being gone for awhile, I will strut around wiggling my butt and she will do it even more. She is so funny. I don't think it is anything to worry about. Yes, I would definately look into pet ins. though. I have Pet Plan Gold coverage and it is only $15/month. I don't think that is anything at all compared to what it would cost me if something happened to her. It does not cover routine vet yearly visits.

Our friend's goldendoodle did this until he was about 8 months old. I wouldn't think that you would have anything to worry about, but with anything keep a good eye on her and if it looks more serious take her to a vet.

Our Doodle piddles every time my nieces & nephew come over. She just gets sooo excited to play with the kids. I am hoping she grows out of it. We didn't notice it at first but we were always outside BBQing during the summer when the kids came over. Now that winter is here we keep the mop handing by the door.
