Peri is 20 pounds at 20 weeks. She is about to turn 5 months old. I am just curious to see what your pups weighed at that point and what they weigh now. She is definitely slowing down, but I was surprised that she gained over 6 pounds since her 16 week shots!
Just looked at your photos and Peri seems to have a very similar build to my mini--so they could end up the same. I don't know her weight at earlier ages because i got her at 7 months.
Is Mattie your mini? She is cute! I would be happy if Peri ends up about that size. It will be interesting to see how she grows. Thanks for your response.
If you look at Hannah and Honey's pics...Honey is a Mini she weighed about 23lbs at 6 months...she is short legged and stocky built and at almost a year she weighed close to 30lbs, I think she is probably around 35 to 40lbs now. Hannah is long and lean....at 6 months she was about 35lbs. and at a year she weighed 58lbs. but runs between 55 to 60lbs at 2 years and spayed.
Lucca was 24 lbs at 5 months and now at 11 months he is 34. He has stabilized. He was gaining a lb a month for the last few months. Hopefully he won't be bigger than 40 lbs. His siblings are about the same weight.
Ned might have been about 20 pounds at 5 mo. He stopped growing at 9 months and grew 1" over mini and weighs 27 pounds - he is 1 1/2. He has more of a poodle build.
I just looked at your pictures...Ned is so cute! Thanks for the input. It is just so hard to tell, you know? It is interesting how some minis can end up bigger. But my breeder says all of hers have been no bigger than 25-32 pounds.
Thanks, we love the size Ned is. I may be wrong but I think that the small doodle owners I have talked to have also said that their doodles stopped growing earlier than bigger ones.
Oooooooh Jane, If he is 17" then Noah is a medium!!!!
Ned is 17" also and I found out that mini is up to 16" so officially Ned is a small medium = I just tell non-doodle people that he is a small version of the standard doodle. I do that because some mediums are soooo much bigger. Ned is 1 1/2 and weighs more than Noah but he has kept this same weight since about 9 months also. Noah and Ned could be the N brothers if they are ever lucky enough to meet!
