I've been very busy this week working with dogs and working on my new business website, The Canine Club. I will have my 2 programs listed- The Psychiatric Service Dog and the Trained Pets. Both will use Rescues and Surrendered dogs that qualify. Clients may also want to start with a puppy so I will be glad to link the breeders' websites to mine who don't have any objections to their puppies being trained for service work. I will also be glad to link up any artists who paint or scupt dogs. One link I have will be www.funwithfreckles.com This is a local author who writes children's books about a puppy named Freckles. I couldn't resist the link because A. The puppy looks like some Labradoodles I've seen B. It's a Childrens book and I'm working with Service dogs for Autistic children and C. I like to read!!! and I like to promote reading.
I would like to link Doodle Kisses and DRCC with permission. The website should be up in the next 2 to 3 weeks.
Very much so. I don't have a website, but I would happily put it on my doodlekisses page and promote it whenever I can. I'm very interested and supportive of what you're doing. I'm a psychologist, and I work primarily in school settings. I try hard to be an advocate for those with psychological disabilities or mental illness. And we love books and reading! My husband is also a psychologist, but recently became a published children's book writer (incidentally, his father is a psychiatrist, and my mother teaches mobility with service dogs to students who are visually impaired or blind). I hope to involve Muppet in my work with children in a reading program and as a certified therapy dog.
I'm also extremely enthusiastic about your efforts to use rescued dogs. I volunteer with the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation who also tries to use and train shelter dogs in their program. It's really fantastic to turn unwanted dogs into needed ones with important jobs providing valuable work and service to others. Thank you!
