I don't mean toys or grooming tools, I mean what personal purchases have you made that were influenced by your dog? I was thinking about this as I looked around in my bedroom while the dogs were lounging on the bed and we were having morning coffee. When we got the bedspread, we considered what colors would be best for the dogs. When I got new carpets, you guessed it, what would be best with two big dogs. My clothes? Yep, there too. But the big one was the car! I got my new car with the dogs in mind. I traded in my sporty car (work commute) when I retired for a Ford Freestyle and built in a back area for the dogs with a plastic bed liner that was easy to take out and clean after our trips to the beach. When we go on longer trips, they have a memory foam pad covered in lamb's wool that is custom made to fit. My dogs spoiled? No, but I have made my life with my dogs as easy as I can for ME.

Well, let's see:
Knee-high waterproof shearling boots for walking in deep snow
Polar fleece earbands and shearling gloves (see above)
Fake Coach poop-bag carrier
Yellowish colored comforter with all-over print to hide the blonde doodle hair/dirty footprints
Two multi-colored washable throw rugs each for the front and back entrances
Dyson Animal vacuum cleaner
I'm sure I'll think of others as the day goes on!
I also traded in my sporty car for a more dog-friendly Subaru Forrester. And in some instances, it's what we haven't purchased - like not re-doing the family room because the wood paneling, carpet and furniture may be old and outdated but it all hides dog wear and tear so well we just let it remain as is.
Most certainly the car. Started with the Rottweilers when I went from a Honda sedan to a Ford Explore. Then up to an Expedition. Now I'm back down to a Ford Edge. Oh yes, the Dyson Animal. I got that for the Rottweilers. Short hair dogs shed more than any other breed. Dog hair is really less of problem now that Winston is here and there is only one Rottie. Also went from a queen size to a king bed, so that everyone had enough room.
I have always done things for the animals. When my boy Moe had bone cancer and this leg removed I bought him a very expensive memory foam twin bed mattress so that he would be comfortable during his recovery. And a ramp so he could get in and out of the Expedition.
fence, plus the drainage and regrading that had to precede it
considering buying a king size bed

Having three little kids, we already had an awesome dog car: the VW Eurovan and a spectacular(ly expensive) vacuum: the Miele Callisto.
I cover my duvet with an "old" white flat sheet that I wash every 3-4 days--this is my version of the brown bedspread I would need to hide Porter's dirt.
Dog beds, a few of them. All matching green. Had a Teepee tent (green too) made for Bailey....it got retired because he didnt sleep in it, Got new flooring because of Abby's puppy pee destroying the old one. Got and replaced several throw rugs (between peeing on them and just plain old shredding them).... Got prozac to cope with the darn doodle. (kidding of course!)

What else....new dog dishes, dog coats; all sorts of leashes and collars, poopy bag holders, portable fence/gate system,

I think thats about it.
Leather and fake leather furniture, tile flooring, cabinets with doors that close, sprinklers, hoses, screens, pet friendly bedspread, don't spray for ants in the back yard,
how does leather work with doodle toe nails? I've wondered about that? We have leather seats in the accord and I always cover them when the girls go, but worry about them?
I have a doggie seat cover that I use to protect my leather seats when I am taking the dogs anywhere; which means it is pretty much on my back seats all the time. The pack seems to like it better than the leather as it is not hot in the summer or cold in the winter. It padded so it is cozier than the leather. It is also easy to wash which great while we work through Harlow's car sickness =( When the car is full of people the cover comes off quickly and is stored in the trunk.

Oh, yes, April reminded me of perhaps my most expensive Jackdoodle related purchase...complete landscaping renovations, including Jackdoodle's preferred toilet (a row of eight 6' tall evergreens) and replacing the sod in the backyard three times...the fescue I had installed the second time turned out to be one of Jack's most severe allergens.
Whhhaaaat? You actually have some grass??? The third dog did it for us - only kinda sorta greenish mowed weeds for us. Luckily, we have not allergy problems.
I only have grass because I've replaced it three times, lol!
