Noah grows more affectionate every day and recently, he has started to lean into me, flop down on the ground and tries to roll on me. It's so goofy. It's amazing how much more affectionate he is now compared to when he was a 9 week old pup.
Ned is 1 1/2 now and is starting to cuddle more and more. He loves his shoulder rubbed and flops down whenever you do this. He loves to crawl up when we are laying in bed and stretch out on us.
Yes! Wrigley does exactly this! She'll lean and then start the roll or if I'm sitting on the ground or on the couch she has to be on top of me. It's so funny how they have the same mannerisms!
Groucho Too is definitely a flopper! The dogs get in bed with us in the morning while we have our coffee. As soon as the comforter comes up, Groucho Too jumps up on the bed and does the "flop" on one of us. He wants to get in a good position for scratches. Hondo always waits for Groucho before he gets up on the bed. He is a gentleman and lies down and inches up but doesn't touch anyone. It might not be so bad, but Groucho weighs 100 pounds! I have started putting my knees up when he jumps onto the bed, but then he just flops on my DH.
Question: Are the floppers goldendoodles?
Dustin does this more than Fenway, which is surprising because he was the most unaffectionate puppy compared to Fenway. I mean he would cry when we picked him up and tried to cuddle him. He never wanted to be held and cuddled and now he can't get enough of it. It so sweet, but he takes up a lot of room now that he's almost 70lbs (and still growing) so it's not quite as convienent as it would have been when he was a puppy, but I love it!
My human son was a non cuddler also (what a disappointment). When he was just a few days old he would push away from me. He didn't like to be held closely. He hated the chest pack but didn't mind when he was facing forward. He ran before he had any teeth (9 months). Always very independent and still is.
