Possible Chocolate Poodle/Doodle Rescue in middle TN

Hi all! I've found a chocolate standard poodle/doodle at a local animal control shelter. He's supposedly around 2 yrs old. I'm trying to speak with someone at the shelter to get more information. I may be going down to the shelter to see the dog.
I can't keep the dog myself. In the past week we've had to put our 15 1/2 yr old golden mix and our 9 1/2 yr old shep mix to sleep. We are currently happy with our 8 month choc goldendoodle but this guy looks a lot like our Webster.
Anyone out there interested in a poodle/doodle if I get him out of the shelter? The adoption fee is low and I'd be happy to foster him for a couple weeks as long as I know he'd have a home.

Looks like a Doodle but the pictures isn't the best. Whatever the genetics, he is gorgeous underneath all those mats! Do you have the link for this dog?

I went to see him today - he's a gem! He is a MESS of mats, we wonder if he has ever been groomed before. He looks like he may be cafe-au-lait, it was hard to tell but he seemed like a mosaic of blond, brown and reddish hair. His temperment seems outstanding, still a little puppyish but very calm and responsive, really wanted to please.
He was an owner surrender and supposedly a standard poodle. He weighs 51 lbs and is a wonderful size. There was a gentleman visiting with him when I got there and this fellow was going to get his wife to come see the dog this evening. He took my phone number and is supposed to call me to tell me if they decide to adopt this dog (we both want to make sure he gets out of animal control). If these people don't take this dog, I'll go down and fill out the paperwork.
Breaking news! I just (literally while I was typing this post) got a phone call and Malaki has found a home! I'm so happy, he was such a nice dog I think may have inadvertantly ended up with a second dog :-) Hurrah!!!

This dog has been tagged by Doodle Rescue Collective for rescue since Wednesday!!! Our volunteer will be picking him up Saturday morning. We already have a foster home and pre-approved adopters on a waiting list.
