I love Guinness! My fave beer! We named Bailey after Bailey's Irish Cream. Not that we're big drinkers or anything. Just couldn't agree on another name. He like Lucy which I vetoed and I liked Tessa which he vetoed. Then when we got Toby, he wanted to name him Barney, short for Barnum(as in Barney and Bailey or Barnum and Bailey's Circus). But I got my way and named him Toby.
Anyway, I also like Marley. Not crazy about Bowser though.
Ya, I'm not huge fan of bowser either...but Sam really likes it. Now he's saying "Thumper"...like the bunny in Bambi...LOL. We'll see, maybe something totally different will come to us when we see him. Who knows!?
I agree with waiting; we brought her home as Coco, but it just didn't feel right. Then we found out there were 3 other Coco's in the neighborhood so we went with Jezebel. I like Thumper, know of a Guiness but seems like the color should be darker, but any of them are great. How about Hercules? (I know, just what you need, more ideas!)
If he's a light color, keeping with beer theme, how about Corona. Now that I type that, it seems more like a girl's name. Other light beers...Coors, Bud, Busch, Miller, Michelob... I know, just confuses the matter.
Sam is totally into "Thumper" now...and I just don't know how I feel about it. It makes me want to laugh...but then I think about it and its kinda cute. LOL I don't know.
We talked about Guinness being more of dark colored puppy's name...but no matter the color, I still like the name.
Three weeks to go...I'll let you all know when we get puppy...and what we decide on!!
Marley was a Golden retriever who was very loved but had a screw loose as written about in a book. So, while it has a nice sound, I would always think of the crazy golden if I used Marley. I vote for Guiness like most of the others, unless when you see him, it just doesn't fit. We had a list of names and once we picked Ned up we tried calling him several of them but Ned just seemed to fit from the start.
