Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

On November 20, The Food Group will celebrate its first birthday...hard to believe it's been a year since Lynne & I decided to put it all in one place and help all DK members to make better, more educated choices in feeding our dogs! I am very proud to say that we are the third largest group on DK, with 294 members at this moment. (Maybe we'll hit 300 by next Friday!)
This has truly been a labor of love, and I am so grateful for the enthusiastic participation of so many of you. The feedback from our members has been so positive! We've had fun, made new friends, and learned a lot together over the last year, and the learning continues! I want to thank all of you who have participated in our very active forum, asking questions, doing research, helping others, and making The Food Group a success! We hope this next year will be even more educational and more fun!
Special thanks to Lynne Fowler for all she does to provide info, advice and guidance to our homecookers, and to Dianne Carter, our resident puppy-feeding expert. Thanks to our Food Group members, DK doodles are truly "eating good". "Magic's Legacy" continues!
"Bone Appetit!"
And for those of you who haven't already, please join us in The Food Group!

Happy Birthday, Food Group! I've learned a lot in that group. I didn't have a dog during the big dog food recalls, so I was out of the loop. Without the food group, who knows what kind of crap Halas would be eating.
Here, here! Thanks to Karen, Lynne, and Dianne for all of your wonderful guidance. This really is the group I turn to for the most information. I was lecturing my mother about what she feeds her cairn and she said "since when did you become such an expert on dog food?". Ha! I am hardly an expert but I am much more knowledgable. Thanks to you all.
Thank you guys! The group has been a great resource. Now I think we (I'm included of course) to sell spare animal parts for a fortune. we could carry them all from antlers to z..... It still amazes me what companies get for all the animal discards! We'd make them healthfully in the US and watch the profits roll in even at a lower price!

Happy Anniversary and Thank You Food Group!!
Time to write that book, Karen! Happy Anniversary Food Group.
Good idea.
My thanks back to you Karen, as well as Lynne and Dianne for providing an area packed full of valuable info for providing the very best nutrition for our precious doodles! I have learned so much and always appreciate the very timely responses when I post a question. Keep up the great work...it is much appreciated.
Happy Anniversary Food Group! You should know that you totally saved me from a nervous breakdown when Guinness was a puppy and a VERY picky eater. He is a little guy, and that made it so much worse when he would go a whole day without eating. You taught me well, and now we're through all that. We still have little "spells" where he decides not to eat, but now I know what to do. So, I thank you, and Guinness also thanks you for all that great advice.
Happy Anniversary/Birthday Food Group and thank you Karen and Lynne! :-)
The Food Group has been so helpful to us! I have not only learned so much, but I've had so much fun doing it! I love figuring out what is best to give Timbow for food and treats. Thank you so much Karen, Lynne, and Diane for all of your help and all the time you spend answering everyone's questions! Who knows what we would be feeding without you!
Happy Anniversary!! Thank you very very much Food Group!! You had educated me so much!
Well, Happy Birthday to the Food Group! Thanks to you guys, so many doodles are eating better. I was feeding a food that I thought was a good one until I joined the group and started reading more about dog food and some of the ingredients used. I have even recommended it to non-doodle owners (including our trainer) as a good resource!
