Taking the recommendatiion of many DK members, I have finally located a local store that sells this product. The lady at the store said to just use a cotton ball wet with the solution and wipe out his ears. The bottle's directions says to liberally pour it into the ear, massage it, and then wipe out excess with cotton ball or swab.

How does everyone here use it? TIA!

Rosco and Thule LOOOOOVE to get to their cotton ball 'snack' before I do!
LMAO! If you could ask them though, I am sure they would tell you that Eye-Booger snacks taste much better
Yes, we had the same thing with Ruger and his right ear. The vet said he had an over abundance of ear canal hair and removed a lot. My DH took him in that day so I couldn't say how much. The vet said we needed to have that done 2x ayear and use the ear wash once a week or after water play/bath. So far, so good! : )

that is funny about Spud stealing the cotton balls!
Where do people get epi-otic?
I asked for Epi-Otic, but was given VET Solutions, Ear Cleansing Solution by Vetoquinol

I read on an old post here on DK that many order online for much less from online Vet Pharmacies.

Also, there are some members who make their own solution and that recipe was also posted. :) ( I don't remember the link, and its not coming up now. I will post if I find it )
Thanks
I've always gotten it from the vet, but it is available on-line for U.S. customers. A Google search should give you a few options.
Thanks.
I use "pup"tastic available at www.pupular.com, haven't had any problems with Charlie's ears, and I use a syringe to put it down the ear canal, massaging his ears. I use a cotton ball to wipe the areas easily accessable.
The puptastic is a gentian violet formula, (similar to the "blue ear wash" home recipes you see all over the internet), which is really for yeasts; it won't do a thing for bacteria, and isn't really an all-purpose cleaning or drying solution. It can also stain the fur of light-colored dogs.
Thanks Karen, didn't know that side of it.
Finally found one of the postings:

Had a home-made mixture.

Mine has aloe in the mixture. I think I will spend the $8.00 on the professional bottle.
