I have the same problem in my pictures, and the Red-Eye tool doesn't help fix it either. I also use Photoshop software for my digital image editing. This would be a great question for the photography group.
Here's how I do it with Photoshop Elements 7. Zoom in on the area of green eye. Select the eliptical tool and draw a selection around the green eye. Select the feather option to soften. Then select the enhance tool, pick adjust color and then remove color. Then under enhance pick adjust lighting. Move black slider over to darken the area. Click Preview and then ok. It sounds way more complicated than it is. For anyone who is a Photoshop subscriber, there is a video online that shows how to do it.
I will give that a try....if I can't figure it out, I will take more pics so I can get my cards out in the mail! I got my first one yesterday, man that made me feel guilty! I searched the help for Green Eye and Pet Eyes and got nothing but red eye video and one that shows how to have lazers shooting out of your pets eyes....Ugh!
Now if I can figure out what the eliptical tool is! hahaha
Thanks,
Chris
Well, maybe it could have worked for someone, but not for me. I just used the sponge and colored in his eyes....now they are jet-black.......looks very artificial. I am going to try again tonight to take another picture and use indirect lighting and hopefully will not need the flash! I should have tried to figure out the editing before December! (shame on me) Maybe after Christmas I will watch the tutorials.
If you have trouble again with the new picture, you could send it to me and I'd be happy to give it a try and return it to you. It's worked for me, but you may actually have a different Photoshop version. Good Luck.
Thank you! Do you know if Elements 8 is much different than 7? I have a coupon to get it for $75.00 and wonder if it is worth the upgrade? I wonder if it would be easier to use?
