About Me:
I am an RN and just traveled across the country to live in San Diego, CA with my boyfriend and our two doodles!
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
I have TWO F1 red goldendoodles from the same parents!

Cali-born Sept 21st 2008
Sandy-born Nov 16th 2009
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
I've always loved golden retrievers but I HATE massive amounts of shedding. We've been lucky that our doods do not shed. Also, poodles and goldens are super smart! We loved our first dood so much we had to add another!
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
Cali loves to play fetch! I also like to take her hiking and swimming. Sandy likes to snuggle and steal Cali's toys.
Does your doodle(s) shed?
Nope!
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
We do
Favorite Doodle Products?
Les Pooch brushes!!!

You definitely had a tougher situation with an 8 week old. Simba is 16 weeks today and we got him at 14 1/2 weeks so he's been sleeping through the night the whole time. In fact, if it were just him, we'd be getting more sleep but Whopper wakes us all up every morning. I definitely can relate to sidewalk wrestling! We are meeting with a trainer this weekend so hopefully we'll get some good pointers on training 2.

Thanks Miranda! He is a lot of fun but I had almost forgotten how exhausting puppyhood can be.

Ha! Whopper has her moments of getting into stuff when left alone but whenever we've watched a friends goldendoodle, she's been good. We are hoping the same will be true with Simba around so that she won't set bad examples. Only time will tell. I'm glad things are going well with Cali and Sandy. We will definitely try and get pictures up quickly.

Thanks Miranda! He is coming tomorrow night and will be almost 15 weeks and already 20 pounds. We are excited and know that Whopper will really enjoy having a buddy once he settles in. How are Cali and Sandy doing?

Hi Miranda! Thanks for getting back to me. It took about 4 days but they are now getting along pretty good. We do still keep their food separate and we got Bailee some new toys of her own that she likes. She has the same elephant that is in your doggies pictures actually. That's kinda funny.....The breeder we got her from cut her hair really short because it was so hot here this summer lots of days well over 100 degrees so we are now patiently waiting for it to grow out. I think it's going to be just a little curlier than Molly's. I am hoping to get some pictures up on here today or tomorrow of them. It's kinda been a bad month with Brady being sick and then having to put him to sleep, then we wondered if we should get Bailee and we did then her and Molly didn't hit it off after we got them home so we wondered if we made the right decision, Then just as they were starting to get along Molly got sick we took her to the vet and they kept her for 3 days and did blood work and xrays, then we got her back Sunday Morning and (she's doing fine now) Bailee went to get spayed Tuesday morning. I think now though things are starting to settle a little more thank goodness. Thank you for your advice I really appreciate it. Tell Cali & Sandy that Molly & Bailee say Hi!!! Have a good weekend.....

Hi Miranda! The pictures of Cali & Sandy are cute. I'm writing you because I saw you had answered on someones blog about a dog she had with some aggression. Maybe you would be able to give me a little advice because your situation seems very very similar to mine. We had two older labs when we got Molly our goldendoodle, 1 passed away last Sept. and the other we had to put to sleep about 1 1/2 weeks ago. Molly always got along fine with them and always seemed alot more playful because of her age so we were going to wait til spring to get another doodle but we decided to call the breeder we got her from and the had 1 pup left that was 5 1/2 months old and it has the same mom and dad as Molly. (Molly was 4 1/2 months old when we got her, she is now 2 1/2 yrs old) so we drove out and picked her up on Sunday and took Molly with us she seemed ok with it then we got home and now she is acting very much like she is the boss around there and last night she growled at the new puppy which very quickly just rolled over and was crying because she scared her and I felt horrible. She didn't touch the puppy and I did scold her for it, and we have been trying to treat Molly the same as before, she has always been treated like a very spoiled fur kid. I'm sure that losing our lab (plus he was sick 3-4 weeks before we put him to sleep), then the ride to the breeders and of course the new one probably has put some stress on her, and it has only been two days since we got Bailee. I guess what I'm asking you is this in any way similar to how your 1st dog acted around getting the new dog, from the same parents. I had really hoped they would get along fine from the start and I hope they can work this out soon. I guess I'm just a little stressed about it too! Any advice would be great.....

Hi Miranda,
The training is going pretty well. Somewhat slow because of schedules/weather/vacations, etc but I think it is working. She is so much better on leash now that my desire for off-leash in the city isn't as urgent!! Lola does seem to be better off-leash though I'm still pretty sure given the opportunity, she will jump back into prey drive. I do think Martin is great and would recommend him highly. Have you seen his new website?

Hey! Whopper is doing okay. We can tell she is in pain but is happy to be home. She doesn't have much energy but is super snuggly. Thanks for asking! How are you and Cali and Sandy enjoying CA?

Hi Miranda, I got Gracie's life jacket at PetCo. You can also get them at boating stores but I think they may be more expensive. Be sure to post pictures when you get them!
