About Me:

I am 47 and married to Tregg Hartley (a computer GEEK!). We have 5 (my two boys age 24 & 25 and his three girls age 27, 24, & 23) grown children, one which is married and in the Army. We have two grandchildren, Emily age 3 1/2 and Tyler 7months, one on both sides (if that makes sense!). And we have "ONE" child together that has 4 legs! Her name is Ruthie Arabella, who is 4 1/2 years old. Her name means best friend and God's answered prayer. She is an answer to our prayers. We live in Hampton, VA and we are a retired Navy family. I am a stay at home mom/wife and I love it!!

Ruthie Arabella Hartley~ Labradoodle F-1b~ DOB: 23 September 2004, at
Gleneden located in Berryville, Clarke County, Virginia. She weighs 45 pounds and is cream color with a streak of apricot down the back.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?

My allergies for one and I read about this breed back in 2002 when they made headlines in the newspaper's Parade magazine. Labradors are my favorite dog! We had a lab/sheppard dog and a Blue Russian cat that we had to give up because I found out I had allergies. So being so heartbroken I did alot of research on Labradoodles and my husband gave in (he was not too keen on the idea of mixing these breeds)!! To tell you the truth- this is the most we have ever spent on a dog!! But well worth every penny!!!!

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?

Play ball, play ball, run aound in the bakyard, go to the beach, cuddle and give sugars (kisses), watch TV, wait for the pizza man on movie nights, watch the world go by from the front door and wait for my Pops to come from work.

A little bit but nothing major

Dental bones, pizza, tennis balls, my blanket, my auntie Micki when she comes to visit me- she rubs my head to the point I go to sleep sitting up!! Lavendar flavored pet shampoo.
