Good Morning CC's mom..... Finally got some pics up this morning! I'm guessing that our experiences with litermates will be somewhat similar. We used to have a toy poodle when we were first married and always said that if we ever got another dog we would get 2. So this time we did. What we didn't realize is there is a whole different dynamic to getting litermates than just getting 2 dogs from different liters. We've been told that they will always fight and rough house trying to determine who is the "boss". That is definitely true in our house. For the most part, Sophie is the Boss. She was the runt of a liter of 11. She is the one we went to see, but fell in love with Lucy and got her as well. Sophie is basically a BRAT! or a BULLY! She picks on Lucy constantly. She doesn't want Lucy to get any attention. If Lucy comes to sit beside one of us, Sophie will jump up and get in between. She always has to be closer to you than Lucy can be. Lucy is pretty laid back and for the most part doesn't care. But every now and then Lucy will just grab her by the neck and drop her to the floor with a "thud". Sophie will assume the submissive position until Lucy lets go and then jump right up and start all over again! Sophie is the attention seeker in public as well ..... don't pet Lucy, pet me! Lucy tends to be a little shy in some cases and will occassionally hide behind one of us if she isn't sure about someone in public. Not Sophie! They have been so much fun, I am absolutely and completely in love with both of them and would have more if I thought that I could handle it! I never thought I would like having a big dog in the house, but now I don't think I would ever go back to small dogs! Ours came from a breeder in Lawrenceburg IN. Where in OH were yours from? I know what you mean about finding the sister. There was another girl left in the liter that I loved as well and I've always wondered where she ended up. She looked just like Lucy as a puppy, but was the blonde instead of black. Well, that's enough rambling for now. Look forward to more stories on your boys! Talk to you soon.

Hi CC's mom: Yes, Lucy and Sophie are sisters. They are actually litermate sisters. Their mom was what they call a "blue" poodle and their dad was the golden retriever. Lucy was all black when we got her and continues to turn silver more and more. Although, he does have a sort of band around her chest that seems to be staying black. Your Camo's coloring is so unique. I've not seen any quite like it. Almost seems like maybe some Australian shephard or Parti poodle in his lineage somewhere. The picture of Curly with the longer hair is almost a blonde version of Lucy. Love your pictures!
