About Me:: Mother, married to attorney, I work outside home, have 2 (semi) grown kids.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: 1 labradoodle. Abbey, born March 26, 2010. My husband and I are totally in love with her!!! We've always had labs and loved them! But there's something about her (doodles) that are special!

Where did you get your doodle(s)?: Breeder

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: I wanted no shedding and no dander and love the way they look and act.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Abbey loves to travel. She is great in the car. She loves the lake and being around people. Its been so fun training her to do different things.

Does your doodle(s) shed?: Nope!

Who grooms your doodle(s)?: PetQuarters

Favorite Doodle Products?: nothing yet!

At 3:07pm on January 27, 2011, Nancy, Ned, Clancy, and Charlie said…: Jill, I don't think you need to take your dood every two weeks but once a month would be great if you want to keep her looking 'the same.' We get Ned groomed between 4 - 6 weeks, and occasionally stretch it 8 weeks(too long unless he was cut shorter). Go on my page and look through his pictures to get a feel for his coat length. Hope this helps. Our other doodle Clancy needs the 4 - 6 week not for matting but because he gets dirty and nasty feeling.

At 12:31pm on August 23, 2010, Lucy & AnnaBelle's Mom said…: Thanks for your comments on my girls. They are actually litermate sisters. Sophie is the blonde/apricot one and Lucy is the Black/Silver. They are almost 2.5 y/o. You can go to the "Pup to Adult" Discussion and see pictures of how they have changed. It is hard to tell about your Abbey and how her coat will change. That's the one thing about Doodles, you just don't ever really know for sure. The hair down Sophie's back got coarser as her went through the coat change. Lucy has turned more and more silver but her coat has always been the same texture. I even know one that looked so much like Sophie right before their first birthday at a Romp, that I could hardly tell them apart. That one now is almost completely Blonde, no apricot at all and much curlier. It's crazy. The one thing for sure though is we will love whatever we get!
