What is a Back Yard Breeder exactly?

- About Me:
- My name is Nikki and I have lived with epilepsy for 30 years now. My seizure alert dogs give me confidence and freedom and I love to breed these amazing dogs and pass that on to others!
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- Zeus is my Standard Poodle and he is 5 years old now. He is my constant companion. He, as did his father before him, has a great sense for seizures and other conditions. Zeus has been my Service Dog since 2010. He is sweet, loving, protective, and just a great family dog.
Athena, Lady, and Angel are the mommas that makes our labradoodle babies with Zeus! They are my Labrador Retrievers. They are sweet, loving, calm, relaxed, and any other words you can think of for the most gentle dogs I have ever owned. They let my baby climb on them while sprawled out and just love the kids. They have the love for water that labs usually do and love the canyons and rivers that run through our great state of Idaho.

- Breeder, Rescue, Rehome, Gift from Friend/Relative
- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- I have used labs before as my seizure alert dogs and my standard poodle now is the best one I have owned. I decided to start breeding labradoodles to make great seizure alert dogs to help others like me.
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- There is nothing I can't do with my Poodle and these labradoodles have been the same. I love to meet their new families and to visit our puppies as they grow up to be working service dogs and just wonderful family pets.
One of our doodles is one of only three facility support dogs in the United States. Her name is Hero and she works at at the Veteran's Sanctuary at Idaho State University.
