Hi Rick, sorry to be responding so late. I have been babysitting my 1 year old granddaughter for a week and had no computer time. I am so sorry to hear your Simon has this dreadful disease. It is heart breaking to go through. Our battle was one long year April to April! I truly never thought I would see the light at the end of the tunnel but now, everything is wonderful again and Gracie has grown back all her gorgeous hair (actually, it is more curly and thicker than before). Her personality is back and all the horrible side effects of the Prednisone are gone. I have all my documentation in a word document so if you will PM me with your e-mail I will attach it. I will include my phone number and after you have read it, feel free to call me to discuss any of it that you want. I must say, we did the Easter Medicine route as a third opinion and they also agreed that they would have treated Gracie the exact same way we did. Prednisone is the only way to go. My vet told me that we had to act quickly to have the best results for complete recovery with no after effects or muscle damage. We had her diagnosed and on medication four days later. Actually I see that you messaged me so I will PM you now with my documentation. Hang in there!!! It was the most miserable year of my life but we pulled through it and with the support of my DK friends, it really helped.
