About Me:: I am retired after 21 years in law enforcement and now volunteer for an animal rescue group. I have worked for veterinarians and at the San Diego Zoo in the past.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: I have a 6 month old Goldendoodle whose mom was a goldendoodle and dad was a standard poodle. Henson is his name and he is in a two year training program to be my service dog, as I am disabled.

Where did you get your doodle(s)?: Breeder

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: After interviewing with some trainers for a service dog, we talked about different types of dogs. I was interested in a goldendoodle for temperment and size as I wanted a dog that was about waist high to me to help me with what I need physically. Plus the non shedding hypoallergenic was appealing

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Take him to the beach, restaurants, play with him with his favorite toy and work on training together.

Does your doodle(s) shed?: Nope!

Who grooms your doodle(s)?: A mobile groomer

Meet Henson

Henson and I are in a two year training program for him to be my certified service dog, as I am disabled. I was reluctant to get a dog from a breeder as I have always been into animal rescue and all my dogs were from rescue or shelter situations. After interviewing for the training program, I understood the reasoning for finding a dog that would have healthy bloodlines as well as a perfect temperment for what I needed.
