About Me:

Married, two children out of the house, so we fill our time with love and play with "Lucie de la Tour, du Pin." Lucie de la Tour, du Pin was a formidable woman during the time of the French Revolution. She was at Court, escaped the Revolution, lived in the Americas, and went back to France after the bad times. She was an amazing woman, and so is our Goldendoodle, Lucie. She will be one on 3/14/2010.

More about Lucie...she brought a fresh wind into our lives after we lost one of our Golden Retrievers to cancer and another to old age. Now, I wouldn't have any other dog breed except the Doodles.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?

Initially because my husband wanted a dog that didn't shed. We knew we could never replace our Retrievers, so we wanted a different type. The Doodles are the best breed to come along...ever!

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?

PLAY, PLAY, PLAY. I love the pictures on your site that show paper towels torn up...yep, that's Lucie. She's also a sock thief and just about any other thing she can get her little mouth on. She's just the right size...about 43 pounds. We love her "Van Dyke" beard and have even renamed her sometimes to "Lucie Van Dkye." She gives us hours and hours worth of fun and enjoyment.
