About Me:: happily married and mum to Nougat!!! always had cavvies before but we were tempted by a doodle. what a fantastic dog!!!

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: one very spoilt cream male doodle called Nougat, he is 16 months old now but very much a puppy at heart!!!! very affectionate, loves his cuddle with mum and dad in the evening and thinks its great fun to jump on the bed at 5am!!
barks at every thing, pulls like crazy when on a lead and we definately cannot let him off-lead as he would run and run and run and run .............................

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: mainly due to coat as im astmatic but we decided opn a larger dog than we'd previously had. had been told they are loyal, fun , easy to train and intelligent. all aree definatley true of Nugs.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: teaching him tricks, having cuddles, watching him run (on lead!!) and playing hide and seek

Who grooms your doodle(s)?: we do at home general brushing out but he goes to a groomer called Louisas.

At 2:16pm on May 4, 2009, jane robinson said…: got my les pooches rush last week and cant believe the difference it makes, the mats seem to come out so easy and Nugs doesnt mind be brushed rather than the fight we used to have!! yesterday he had a swim and there were no mats when he dried.....a miricle!!! bought the green one and its great!!

However, I have to warn you that this is the first time I have managed to get back on the site since September!! When I am working (in school term times) life gets very busy. I have to say that Nougat is SOOO lovely. I absolutely love his brown muzzle, ears and tail he is so unusual I haven;t seen another like him. I can see from your photos that Nougat loved the snow but did you have problems with snow balling around his feet? Barney's fur is quite long (in desperate need of a haircut this weekend) and he got so weighed down with snow around his feet, but he really loved playing in it, and we have bog problems getting him in from the garden! Have read your profile, I noticed you too have trouble with Nougat pulling. We had that problem with Barney for two years but with the help of a 'Gentle Leader' and a lot of persistent training we have finally cracked it and he now walks to heel very well, take heart won't be long for you!!
