The dark stripe down his back is spreading and is coarser and more hairlike but isn't shedding. The new hair growth around his collar is very soft wavy cotton like. He is interesting... And so so sweet!! He really is a good boy, except for liking to chew the walls and windowsills!

Walls and windows are made for chewing pleasure and so are couches, table legs, and rolls of toilet paper!  Oz looks so much like my son's rescue, Junior.  Here he is at about 14 weeks:

The 'stripe' has come and gone. His coat is unbelievably thick and wavy.  He isn't shedding much either.  Hope that continues.  He is about 10 months.

We have had a dog that chewed walls and the recovered kitchen chairs.  One liked the couch and the last three cords.  One chewed a $140 sewing machine cord (computerized) and then the next chewed my heating pad.  I got a new heating pad and Kate chewed the cord - luckily we kept the old cord so we still have one functioning.  Seems like the lose the baby teeth and that helps a lot.

a cute one for sure! That fuzzy stuff is just puppy coat--the new darker stuff underneath is probably a bit more like what he will end up like once the adult coat comes in completely--in about a year!
