There are times I call Blake everything BUT his name...As far as nick names he has quite a few and he responds to all of them...

Mr. Noodle
Shaggo
Scooby Doodle
The Blakester
Blakenstein ( When he's naughty)
Blakey
Fuzzy Man
and of course.....BUDDY or BUD.....
Sometimes I hold his ears back and flatten the hair on his head with my hand and I call him The Golden Seal......

My daugther calls her Marley....SNUGGIES. and his tale goes a waggin everytime she says it to him.

Jacquie Yorke actually called him a doofus and it stuck. From there, one of Brody's other nick names is "Doofenshmirtz"

My kids love the cartoon Phineas and Ferb, and one of the characters is an evil scientist named Dr. Doofenshmirtz. It's a goofy take on James Bond and Dr. Doofenshmirtz always has a "diabolical plan to rule the tri-state area." In the show, the boys have a pet platypus named Perry that is a secret agent and.... well, It's actually quite funny and half of the humor is directed to the parents that get stuck watching the shows with their kids. LOL!
