A dream come true! Tales (tails?) from the Doodle Cruise.

We started planning in July of 2011 and the Doodle Cruise was but a dream.  All the days of planning and waiting and finally it was here.  The chance to meet in person some of my DK IDOLS!  From the 1st moment it was truely like we were all old friends - because we really were old friends.  This past week was one I will never forget.  There were tons of laughs, some tears, dancing, way too much eating and drinking.  Doodle talk of course!!!  I am way to tired (and want to spend time with Rooney, Stuart and DH) to go into details - those will all come as people get home but I'll share a few photos with you all.  Oh and of course WE CAN'T TELL EVERYTHING - some things will have to stay on the ship.

John actually saw a Doodle at Grand Turk on the beach.

The doodle on Grand Turk I believe belongs to the American owner of the bar - Jack's Shack.  I meant to make it down the beach to visit them but sadly - never made it - NEXT time!!!

I'm already looking at options for 2013 - start saving your change.  Carnival is a "budget" line but it is all about who you are with.  So join the Doodle Lovers Cruise Group and watch for coming info.  OR we might try to find an ALL INCLUSIVE Resort - getting a group together on a cruise is difficult with so much going on.  How would you all feel about that? Then we could limit it to 5 nights.

First, yes, I am alive.  I will blog about that later...really!  As many of you know, last October, my EX-DH asked me for a divorce. We divorced in February and I moved back to California in mid-April (I was born here). The CRUISE was the thing that has kept me going. It gave me hope.  OK everyone...think of Dirty Dancing...the end of the movie when Johnny pulls Baby off the stage...and the music is playing "I'VE HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE".  Well, that just about sums it up. Oh, and did I tell you I had the best time of my life.  I met so many wonderful people and formed life-long connections.
