I worked hard today by making 12 stuffed peppers for my family for dinner. I prepared them fairly early in the day and left them in two containers on the stove ready to go in the oven. I was running errands, took Amante for a walk, was in and out for the afternoon. Well, I go to put the peppers in the oven and I am missing a container. WTD am I losing my mind? Did I not make 12 peppers in two conatainers. My children were at school, DH at work, Amante was with me or in the crate. Do I call the police,Seriously! WTD happened to my peppers. Nothing else is missing just my dinner. My DH "are you sure you made 12" !!! Someone is trying to make me crazy. FYI I looked in the oven, in the fridge everywhere.!!!

 Update:

Apparently my brother stopped by when I was walking Amante ( he knows the codes). He smelled the peppers and remembered how much he liked Grandma's Peppers. Since his wife refuses to make him things she doesn't like he helped himself!!!  I told him that I would of gave them to him if he would of asked.  That I had thought I lost my mind. His answer was that little brothers like to torture their big sisters. My answer tell your wife to cook them for you!!!  Oh and I want my container back!!!

Oh I hate it when this happens. you know you put something in a certain place and it dissapears for several days, then turns up exactly where you KNEW you left it, and checked there several times.

peppers from the stove is a strange thing to go missing though....

That is quite the mystery.  You're sure you didn't fit all twelve in the one container?  If not, I got nothing.

I bought some specialty cheese while DH was gone, had a slice, put it in a lock n lock and put it in the fridge. That evening DH was home and scrounging as usual. The next day I looked in the Fridge for that cheese, could not find it anywhere...I was actually a little miffed at DH, I thought "how could he eat the entire hunk of cheese, it cost a lot of $". Well he was gone so couldn't ask him.

The next day I went into the cupboard and there was the lock n lock and the cheese. Same cheese with one slice missing.

Pretty soon DK friends are going to have to decipher what the heck I am talking about, I am losing it.

Join the club. I was looking all over for a large bottle of oil in my kitchen. Needless to say it was where I didn't want it, in the fridge.
OH MY!!!!
Maybe the kids came home for lunch?
Check the microwave?
This is exactly what I was going to say.  The other day I fixed a SmartOnes for Dinner in the Microwave.  Took it out, put some salt and pepper on it and was getting ready to go sit down and eat when DH said "Did you need to cook the pepper?"  I was like What?  I had put the pepper shaker in the Microwave!
No ideas here if you are sure Amante was not able to get to them. Calla helped herself to spaghetti sauce I had made a few weeks ago. She was caught red pawed though : )
Based on my experience with a similar incident, I would look for that container on the floor, possibly under a table or sofa. Expect to find it empty and licked clean. :)

I'm with Karen.  Something is telling me that SOMEONE.....who's name will not be mentioned, slipped away for just a second!!!!

I do this sort of crazy crap all the time!  It reminds me of my grandmother.  She used to keep her purse (or pocketbook as she called it) in the refrigerator!  Had a space in the door that was just for her purse.  We used to just sort of shake our heads and wonder "what the heck" until one day someone asked her why she kept it there!  She said that she was afraid that if she put it away she would forget where she put it.  That the refrigerator was the place that it was guaranteed she would go to several times a day so if she ever couldn't find it, it wouldn't be lost for long .... only until her next meal!
