Looking for a really good shampoo that will lather well and does not contain a lot of chemicals. I am tired of the Petland products that tend to do little more then rinse the Doodles and cost a fortune. Please advise what product you have found to do a good job.

Thank you.

I use the mane and tail from the horse supply store. They have a whole line, one has a brightener in it and Neely just shines afterward. He's apricot cream.
Years ago we used a shampoo called "Charbonne" by Vitacoat. I haven't seen it in many years but the Vitacoat
products are still available. It was non-detergent and worked wonderfully on a very sensitive skinned poodle.

I wonder it anyone has seen it. I would love to use it again.
I am so happy with Chris Christensen's Day to Day Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner I cannot tell.
Benny always had issues with his sensitive skin and no shampoo was working well. Since we use Chris Christensen products he has a healthy skin and a shiny coat.
I also have a self rinse conditioner which works superb when he has rolled in duck poo again but I cannot give him a full bath.
All products also have a nice smell. I am not sure about prices as I am in Europe but I can highly recommend the products.
When we picked up our doodle, the breeder recommended a shampoo used by many breeders. I really like it and the price is reasonable. Check the web page (http://bestshotpet.com/). I purchased a gallon and just share it with my kids and their dogs.
This sounds like what I have been looking for. Thank you. I wanted a natural shampoo that would suds up. Barbara needs to see the suds to believe they are being washed properly. She uses so much to get it to foam that a bottle does not last to long. I will probably order and give it a try...there are so many products out there that I do not know which is best.
I like Earthbath shampoo too. We use the hypoallergenic shampoo, its scentless and tearless. It suds up really well and does a good job getting my dogs clean. Its kind of expensive, but you can dilute it and make it last a little longer. I'm thinking about buying it online in the gallon size to save money.

I love Aveeno..goes a long way if you just add some to a water bottle. Amber used to scratch a lot but hardly ever since I have been using that.

Denika
they don't ...its people shampoo but worked really well for Amber...
I use J&J Baby Shampoo ( Green stuff) on Jordan and I also use Lorel's 2&1 for kids. I she has the softest hair ooooffffff alllll the doodles.
Their PH is under 4 and it wont sting the eyes. Try it you will see.
Is it the apple scented one? We used that up until a little while ago, and loved it. He always had a nice looking coat and it didn't irritate his eyes. It makes them smell so good! We switched to mane and tail just to try it, because I've heard good things. But I miss the apple smell... maybe we'll switch back. :-)
My favorite dog shampoo is a line from Bless the Beasts by Bo Derek. I have the highlighting shampoo. I loved it for the way it made my dingy white dog came out a clean white. An added benefit was her being a 4 legged air freshener! It's not an perfumey smell though, but she didn't smell like a dog after 3+ weeks without a bath. Her coat was soft and rarely matted.

It used to be carried at PetCo (no longer). When I finished my last bottle I had to buy from her web site, I stocked up and bought 8 bottles!
I use Paul Mitchell Pet Products . It's people tested not animal tested . The Tea Tree Grooming spray is wonderful for dogs who have itchy skin , plus there's an instant detangler thats great too .
