Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I have seen several posts the last few days about what we, as dog owners, are thankful for and have loved reading them. We all have so much to be thankful for at this time of year -- our families, our doodles and other pets, our jobs, God -- the list goes on and on. Well, last night when I was doing my last-minute shopping for our big turkey dinner, I ran across a card that made me laugh and I thought I'd share it with you today!
IN HONOR OF THANKSGIVING,
HERE IS A LIST OF THE TOP TEN THINGS
THAT I, YOUR DOG, AM THANKFUL FOR:
10. Tummy rubs
9. Slow-running mailmen
8. Open toilet seats
7. Anything made of rawhide
6. Houseguests' legs
5. Trees, fire hydrants, telephone poles
4. Other dogs' butts
3. Sleeping cats
2. Car rides with the windows down
AND the #1 thing that I, your dog, am thankful for is....
That I belong to YOU!
Knox might argue that the list above is a bit out of order -- unfortunately he really likes #8 and would probably substitute SQUIRRELS for MAILMEN-- but I think he would agree that the #1 thing he's thankful for is RIGHT ON!
So...what changes would your dog make to the list, if any?
Oh, and by the way, Happy Thanksgiving and GIG 'EM AGGIES!

Being allowed up on the couches!!
That Daddy and Mommy are on vacation the week of Thanksgiving, lots of time for all of the above.
Tennis balls!
Halas is thankful for a mommy that's a big sucker for his cute, fuzzy face. And he's thankful for his new friend, Barley!
Peanut butter instead of open toilet seats
Curious cats instead of sleeping cats (our neighbor has 2 and she loves to "visit" them through the fence)
:)
Same as last year: Sedona is thankful for her yellow squeaky ball (as long as someone will keep throwing it to her)!
Today, Banjo is thankful for the yummy rice, ground meat and pumpkin his Mom made him to help settle his yucky tummy! Poor guy had us trudging in and out all night (in the wet, heavy falling snow) with the "runs". Sleeping peacefully now after his late breakfast.
All the other days of the year Banjo is thankful for all those wonderful times his "parents" will toss the ball, run or wrestle with him. How do I know that? I can tell by the smile on his face!
Poor Banjo, feel better little guy!
I hope Banjo is smiling again soon!
Poor Banjo and poor Carol. Sorry you guys!
Darwin would add "cuddle time", and cheese!
