Reading Sue's post about Bella eating her own poo-poo reminded me that years ago I had a friend who had the same issue with a Shitzu rescue. Besides eating her own poo Ginseng also rarely associated with the rest of the family.
The communicator had been brought to town by the local PBS station for a fund raiser and locals could book sessions with her. So my friend took Ginseng for a session and I tagged along. It was pretty interesting actually.
After talking silently with Ginseng the communicator was able to advise my friend as to why her dog ate poop how to get her to stop and also how to get her to interact with the family. After implementing the suggestions given her by the communicator, my friend's dog DID stop eating her poop and also became integrated into the family. It was pretty amazing really!!
Has anyone else had any experience consulting with an Animal Communicator for their doodles or other animal companions? And what are your thoughts about the concept of "Animal Communicators" in general?"

Yes, this communicator said that dogs thoughts are in "pictures" so to speak rather than words. So you should send them a mental image of what you want them to see in their heads. So in Bellas case I guess you would send her a mental picture of her looking at her poop (through her own eyes) and then walking away from it. Something like that.
In the case of my friend's dog, the communicator said the dog had lived in a home where she was alone quite often and not let outside on a regular basis. She ended up pooping in the house and then getting in big trouble for it. So she started eating the poop to "hide" it and prevent being punished. Quite a different story then Bella's would be!
It sounds like the communicator knew dogs very well - as they may try to eat the evidence if they have been repremanded for soiling anywhere. That is a very clever dog.
It is even possible for a puppy to learn this - perhaps the mum had been punished for leaving a mess and the pup had picked up the habit. I would be very interested in the communicator that you friend used - but would only go on personal reccommendation for these cases.
We took my old Jack to a communicator. Since he had been found we didn't have much history on him. Much of what she said was on target. We asked her why he would stick his paws under the rug. He told her that DH had stepped on them once, so he was trying to hide them. We also asked what he thought of our schnauzer Max. He, the dog, told her it was like living in a nursing home - he didn't know whether to go to the bathroom inside or outside. Max ws about 14 or 15 and starting to get senile.
I also took a course on this last year. While I was not able to develop the skill, several people in the class had interesting experiences.
A nursing home! Oh, that is funny!!!
The woman that my friend saw tells a story of one time when she was on a talk show. I think it was Oprah. And some of the audience members brought animals to talk with her. As I said a little earlier she sees what they "say" in mental pictures. Well, one dog just kept showing her a picture of its owner (a man) naked! She was a very mild mannered woman and was quite embarrassed and unsure how to handle it all on national TV!
Too bad the course didn't work out it would really be awesome to be able to communicate with animals that way-especially your own! :)
