I haven't been on much lately. I have taken up quilting big time, and since I am OCD, I have been sewing a lot. I joined a quilting forum, and I can't believe the difference between that one and DK. Their forum is not easy to navigate, and I really can see how much work Adina has put into DK. Also, thanks to Adina for another exciting giveaway! I do check in frequently, but just haven't posted.
Bentley and I are in dog therapy classes, so I haven't been neglecting him.....housework and yard work have really suffered, though.

I  soooo appreciate quilting, just can't do it myself.  My school librarian is a quilter and we have attended her guild and some area shows.  Enjoy!

I also really appreciate Adina and DK! I appreciate that we have a safe place to talk to friends. unlike most other Facebook Doodle sites. Some of the people there are so nasty ...and/or stupid!

I totally relate to the quilting addiction! Some time ago I finish a quilt I had started way back when and had let sit unfinished far too long. Then this past winter I've been working on another! Then there's Jack and Jilly to keep entertained, and where does the time go! I check on here all the time though! We need a photo of what you're working on,  please share!

Janie, I will post pics. The big queen size that took me 2 yrs. is at the longarmer's being quilted. I am working on a baby quilt now, & that should be ready in a couple weeks. I am going to take a class to do the longarmer's quilting myself. They said to bring a small project, so the baby quilt is the perfect size. I'll post unless I make a complete mess of it....lol!
Bentley and I did a therapy day at a local college yesterday. Our therapy class was invited to help the students with a little stress relief during finals. It was a big hit with the students, and Bentley loved the attention. It's been a good week so far!

Wow, good luck with the longarm class! That seems to be an art in itself! Can you do this on your regular machine or do you have one of the longarm machines too? I've always hand quilted but took my last one to someone to longarm quilt it. She has some set up!

How awesome that you and Bentley visited students during finals week! I always thought that would be such a fun thing to do! I bet Bentley brought a lot of smiles and a needed break to them! Good for you both!!

The answer to both questions is no. My SIL wants to learn the longarm. She signed me up for the class. You can rent their machine after you take the class. It would be a lot cheaper. She is a much better quilter than I am. I'm going into it thinking I probably won't ever be able to longarm anything myself. I barely understand how to work my own sewing machine, and it's not one of the new, fancy computerized ones. But, who knows, I may get the hang of it. It can't hurt to try.
