Asking for Prayers for a friend's toddler

Hi DK Friends,

If any of pray, I could use some prayers for a friend.  Her husband and two sons (my kids' ages) were in a terrible accident.  They were leaving the lake, traveling on a dirt road and hit an area of washboard and it sent them over the cliff and into a lake.  The dad was able to pull the eldest out and he got CPR right away.  The youngest (2.5 years old) was not found by Dad but rangers were able to find him.  The eldest boy has been released and is okay.  But their toddler is hanging by a thread. The latest update from my friend:

"Riley was lifeless for 2hrs and 20min before they were able to get a heart beat. Over the course of the day and A LOT of work, they have been able to stabilize him. They are keeping him in a hypothermic state to help keep his body from over working itself. We have about a 24 hour window of time to wait while they slooooowly warm up his body. After that 24 hrs, we will have a better idea of brain activity. Warriors - we have 24 hours to move mountains."

This is never good, but when it happens to a child, it's heart-wrenching to think about because my son and her son are only about a month apart in age.  So I can imagine how scary and painful this time is.  Please if you pray, pray for a miracle!

Oh my goodness...definitely sending all my prayers to that family...this is just heartbreaking...miracles do happen and I pray this is the time...sending big hugs to you Adina as I'm sure this is extremely difficult for you!

Continue to send prayers for the family (Mommy Natalie, Daddy Lawrence, and big brother Landon) as they face every parent's worst fear. They need God's love and comfort in this heartbreaking time. 

Nothing is sadder to me than a parent losing a child.  I can hardly look at my son without thinking of theirs.

Oh Adina, this is truly tragic…. What a horrible, horrible thing…. My love and prayers will continue for this precious family….  I think they can use the finical help now more then ever, a funeral is extremely expensive….

There are no words to help in a time like this. Giving it to God is the only thing we can do. I have sent this information on to my church prayer list as well.

Any update since this morning Adina? I believe in miracles and am praying as hard as possible for one right now. The poor father will have to live with this horrible memory for the rest of his life. I pray God will shine His Light upon him.
