A few days ago I was watching TV and they were interviewing a guy named Neil Pasricha who is the author of a book called The Book of Awesome. He said something that struck a chord, he said “Life is so great that we only get a tiny moment to enjoy everything we see. That moment is right now. And that moment is counting down. And that moment is always, always fleeting. You will never be as young as you are right now.”
His premise is that there are awesome little things that happen to us every day and we just need to stop and take a moment to appreciate them. With all the bad that happens in this world every day, we miss out on all the little things that bring us just a slight bit of pleasure.
Quincy and I want to wish you all a Happy Holiday, no matter what or where you celebrate we wish you peace and joy.
Some awesome things that happened to me today.
I went to Walmart to return something, there was no lineup just me. Awesome
We went for a walk on the golf course and ran into Quincy's doodle friend Molly ( who is absolutely adorable) two doodle romping in the snow. Awesome
I tried a Blueraspberry Martini. Awesome
This time of the year is especially hectic so slow down and share something awesome that happened to you.

Thank you very much Bonnie. You'll never know how much your thoughtfulness, and support has meant to all of us. That would be me, my daughter Lauren, and most of all Peter ! :)
Sheila, I'm happy to hear that you SIL is doing well, that's all the awesome you need for one day, the crow was a bonus. I think it's great that you do this every night, I plan to do more of it.
Ha ha~ Donna, that crow was a bonus ! It was too funny. Thanks for thinking of Pete. Even though we won't be seeing them for Christmas now, it is more then enough to know he's still with us, PLUS doing so well.
Great news Sheila!
Thanks Ginny, it has been good news.
Such a good reminder! I love this.
Great post. DH and I used to do Oprah's Gratitude Journal! Sort of got away from it before this is a great reminder to start thinking about that again. Here are my yesterdays thoughts:
1) Our Nephew in the Army got his new assignment, only 2 hours away! Means we will get to see our Nephew and the new Baby coming in January a whole lot more.
2) Lucy gave me the 1st hug (standing on 2 feet, legs on my shoulders) since her CCL surgery!
3) Took the girls for a walk in just a sweatshirt ... not bad for Dec 23rd in Ohio!
OHHH number 2 is very awesome Sherri!!
WooHoo!!
I'm SO happy to hear about your "Lucy hug"!
Just got my "awesome" for today!!! Lyric was very reluctant to eat her breakfast!! Usually at 2 weeks after breeding she gets very queasy--like morning sickness--if the breeding has been successful--so this is a VERY good sign!! Got her to eat most of it by adding some yummy chicken--so, here we go again!! Pups in early February!!
