My Polly has a ball in her mouth at all times, she carries it around, she sleeps with it in her mouth, she barks around it, she tosses it on the couch to invite you to play with her and she is on Youtube playing pool with her balls and coolaroo bed. My house is very old and has a slight slant on the kitchen floor, she uses that floor to drop the ball from her mouth and catch it as it bounces back up, she will do that for twenty minutes if no one else is playing. When she tires of playing catch with herself she drops the ball on the upside so it rolls under my oversize island that then runs to the other side to catch it when it comes out. I have not been able to get pictures, she seems to know what a camera is now. But, honestly, one of the funniest dogs I have ever had. Love my girls.

Cute, they do seem to know when a camera is around. Annabelle loves balls too, she would sleep with them if I let her. She is also picky about them, some are hits and some are misses.
Smart girl.....
Very smart girl and she can keep herself occupied! How great. Charlie is obsessed with balls too and when he gets a new kong squeaky ball he carries it everywhere for weeks (even to bed). I seldom see him without a ball. And his brother Beau spend his waking hours trying to get Charlie's ball!
Our Holly cares very little about balls. However her best big-dog-buddy, Shadow, the Labrador lives to chase balls. When Shadow wants the ball, Holly wants it too. Since Holly is taller and faster than Shadow she gets the ball.
Polly stays focused on a ball like that for minutes on end, if we ignore her she just stares, on alert in case it dares to move. If we move toward it she snatches it up and takes it to her Coolaroo bed and plays by herself for awhile. It is so funny how much these doodles all have in common.
so cute
This sounds just like our Winston! He is 5 yrs old and a rescue. We have had him less than a month but are sure he raised the moon! Lol! We've never had a dog that was so obsessed with balls! He has no less than 5 tennis balls in his bed (tennis balls are his favorite) and can entertain himself endlessly by tapping them with foot or nose and then chasing and pouncing on them. It is so funny to watch! Polly sounds exceptionally smart! I've never heard of a dog bouncing a ball with itself before! I'd like to see that! Lol!
