Bath after the beach

Quick question. After a day at the beach, when you are washing off your doodle, do you shampoo or just water your doodle down. As we might be going frequently, I didn't want to use shampoo all the time

Eileen, our vet here in Fla. told me to rinse him well and to shampoo often, like every other time he went swimming as the salt and/or chlorine is very drying to thier skin, I use a gentle everyday use shampoo and conditioner.

Maybe Johnson Baby shampoo would be good, and no tears.

We have a Labradoodle and a Goodlendoodle and we do not rinse them after the beach. they get bathed about every 5 weeks at a groomer. Their skin seems to be in fine shape and they are not itchy or flaky but I always wonder if we should be doing something after a day at the beach.

I just hose Dexter off after he goes swimming at the beach. I do hose him off well, but I don't shampoo him every time.
