Boarding advice

I had to go I to the hospital ICU on Monday....my mom is out,of the country somihad to board Jack and Molly...jack has been there for school lots..Molly a few times...I got them the luxury suites together..TV, beds, chairs etc....I explained th e meds ..wrote them put and foods....I have a list a mile long and save up my air to call and check on them daily....how do I know they are okay???? I will e here until my mom gets back..she is on a cruise and doesn't even know I boarded them...so they can get picked up Sunday..


What can I do....I have friends they don't know that offered to take th,e but they work all day and I was worried they wouldn't. Be safe...truth do you think they are ok....??????? I never boarded them before.

When Gavin was a puppy I boarded him a few times.  It gave me peace of mind to know that he was safe with a kennel/trainer who knew him and who I trusted.  Being young and unpredictable, I just felt he was safer than with someone in a home that may accidently let him out or not provide the proper amount of supervision so that he would not get into anything.  Now that he is older I am very comfortable leaving him with someone because I trust him not to run off or get into anything he is not supposed to.  Bottom line for me, even though the kennel had more basic accommodations (although it sounds like yours is much more swanky) it is a place of safety which to me was most important.  They will be totally fine so do not worry!  You get yourself better Jenn.

Oh Jennifer,  I'm sorry I can't help more than send out lots of prayers and positive thoughts for you, Jack, and Molly.  Are there any DK members in your area?  Anyone who can stop by where they are boarded to check on them?  Please try to rest so you will be able to go home when your mom returns.

They will be fine. If the place has online cameras, you will be able to check on them. Don't lose your energy over this. The dogs will be fine, they have each other and there will be people taking care of them. Focus on getting better! Hugs!

Jack and Molly are probably having a ton of fun!  Don't worry about them, just focus on getting better and staying your usual positive self!  :)

Thanks..I will be here quite a while....my mom will be back on Sunday.....I just keep s picturing them wondering where we are and it And makes me so sad ....

Jen, I'm sure you picked a great safe place, so just trust your instincts and let Go and let God take care of them and you. They will be fine, it's you that you need to stay focused on. Jack needs you to get better. Maybe your friends can take them home with them on fri after work if you just want to get them out of the boarding facility. At least they will be in a home and your friends will be home sat and sun. Sending prayers and healthy thoughts your way.

I'm sure you picked a good place and if they are together I'm sure they are doing just fine.  I know my 2 would rather be together at a nice boarding place than at a stranger's house.  Since Jack has been there for school a lot I'm sure he is feeling comfortable and confident and Molly will be able to tell and will be ok too.

Missed that old ICU did you?  Your precious pups will be fine - you chose well.  Concentrate on getting back home. Sending prayers and kind thoughts and an extra special kind thought for your pup.

I have the owners cell,phone...I can get them out anytime day or night.....she is great..this is the place Jack used to go four days a week as a puppy....I just worry because no one is checking for ticks or anything! I am sure .....I know it is easy to focus on taking care of me...but that job seems impossible ..even to the doctors..so I would rather make sure I didn't forget anything important with them....

No camera to look which is good I need a lot of rest ......
I just neb ere boarded before so I mam a nervous they think we deserted them.......

Thanks for understanding...all these steroids coupled with bad news andi just want ate go get ,y baba idea and go home but I have ago tough it outa and so do they ...
