My DH mowed the lawn last night and there was a heavy dew. This morning he took Haley out to potty and afterward wiped his feet before coming inside. Awhile later I noticed that Haley's feet still had lots of grass clippings in the fur. What to do? Then I had one of those light bulb moments and got out the vacuum cleaner and a bag of treats and sat on the floor with Haley. First I showed him the crevice tool and treated him. Then I turned on the vacuum and proceeded to vacuum Haley's feet giving lots of treats. The end result was no more grass clippings. Just had to brag about my sweet boy.

A lot of trust and a few treats go a long way!  Good boy, Haley!

What a brave boy, Haley!  And what a smart doodle mom!  Great idea!

Hooray for Haley ! You should be proud of him and yourself for being so clever.

Finnley would have been onboard right up until I turned the vacuum on. Then I'd have to retrieve her from under the bed or off the ceiling ! LOL

I've said it before, Mr. Haley is da dawg !!

Good Boy...and "brag away"!

Wow! Good boy, Haley!

What a calm boy you are Haley.  The vacuum will use come in handy with that long, luxurious coat of yours!
