Buddy and first snow!

So overnight we got our first snow of the season.  We weren't quite sure how Buddy would react.  We got him the 3rd week of Feb this year so he had a little "taste" of snow, but not much because he was so young.  And did I mention how much Buddy hates to be out in the rain and walk in wet grass.

 

Anyway, I had him out for a bit this morning and he loved it!  He buried his nose in the snow, ate some of it, jerked his head up and tried to bite at the snow that cam off his head when he jerked.  It was so funny.  Then he started running around in the back yard and then up on the deck.  I took my camera with me and thought I would share a shot!  I love snow and I love how Buddy seems to love it too! :)

Great picture...you sure can tell he's "lovin it". There's nothing like those "snow zoomies"! I'm still waiting for our first snow to see how Murph likes it.

He is so adorable!!!! Any strategies for removing the snow from their paws? We just had our first snow too and I forgot how the snow attaches to their paws!

I tried something yesterday that worked pretty good. I used a brush. I was surprised that it worked as well as it did. I did have to grab the snow ball out from between the pads, but the other ones on the legs broke down with the brush.

Thanks everyone! Regarding the snow balls in the fur...I took him to the bathroom and got out the hair dryer. Seemed to work pretty well. I put him on a towel, he got relaxed and and I dried until he was mostly dry.

Sunny hates the hairdryer, so I think I'm going to just have a wet house for the winter!
