Hi all!

I have not had a chance to read & enjoy everyones posts for some time!  I hope everyone is doing good.

Trixie is now 8 months old...I posted some current pictures of her on my page.

I love her long hair!  And we have only had a few very tiny matts under her arm pits that were easily combed out.

Is it ok to leave the hair over her eyes so long?  I love the look.  Can she see?

Does anyone know of a good video for me to look at to see how to trim around her eyes?

Trixie is a grazer...my 1st.  it is wierd to not have a dog inhale their food.  When she was younger she did that.  Now at 6...7...8 months she eats when she wants.   Sometimes 1/2 a cup a day sometimes 3!

She has not gained a pound in a month ...She sits at 48.5#.  I am hoping she will get a little bigger still.

But do love her this size too.

Trixie reminds me of beauty and the beast.   So now can we see a pic of the beast?  LOL  She is perfect!!
Jack has a very similar rockstar look.  When I trim around his eyes, I trim in a jagged line.  With that scruffy look you don't want his bangs cut straight across.  Trixie is adorable by the way.
She looks so much like my Bella. I do keep her shorter, but I leave the bangs longer as it does give her a very cute look. I think it gets in her eyes when they are too long so I trim them to about 2 inches when the rest of her is only 1 inch. Trixie is just beautiful!

This is Bella., her bangs are just getting a little long and into her line of vision. I will be cutting them soon. I use a thinning scissor so that they look feathery and not like a big blunt cut eyebrow.

Thanks for those pictures Sue
I just got the biggest smile on my face as I scrolled down and say your cutie pie!  She is adorable.  I love the hair in the eyes.  I am not sure if the reason for clipping it is because people are afraid that they could irritate their eyes if the wind were to blow the hair into their eyes.  If you are worried about her not seeing you can test her with whatever it is she loves most.  I just have to grab a tennis ball and Gracie will stare right at it!  If you want to trim them I would just use thinning shears and just sort of thin our the long hair a bit in the eye area but still leave some so she still has that adorable look.

Pam, I too would love that long hair look but I would probably trim the hair so she can see. I even ended up trimming Daisy's eyelashes, they were so long they started to fall across her eye. I just kept thinking that would annoy me so probably her too. That being said the hair pinned up with the bow is to die for.

Daisy who weighs in at 65 lbs, continued to grow all the way up to 12/14 months old, I think Trixie is going to end up a little bigger.

SHE IS ADORABLE! LOVE THE HAIR!! If anything you can leave it long and maybe go to the corner inside of the eyes and trim right in there so they don't poke her. That's where we have problems, our always curls towards the inside of the eye DON"T take too much and we'd love to see the results!!!

I took more pictures of her yesterday...Just incase I try to trim her eye area : )

I think I will try to trim just a little bit with thinning sheers.

Honestly Trixie cant catch a ball with the hair in her eyes or with it pulled back!  She just makes us laugh when we try to get her to catch it.

Heres the picture I took yesterday outside in the wind!

Ok, I finally braved a trim.  Didnt trim off much.  its funny to be able to see her eyes!   A few hairs missed getting trimmed short near her eye corners...

This is so much better, she has gorgeous eyes!

Great job, Pam!
