Chewed my shoe but retrieved it when I asked her to get it. : )

Let me preface it by saying I have difficulty wearing shoes.  I have a pair of sandals (which they don't make anymore) that have a negative heel.  It  helps lock my ankle and knee in place because my leg is weak.  Anyway, I fell asleep and my sandals were on the floor.  When I woke up I could only find one.  I could maneuver around with my walker but when I saw Kate in the open doorway I said, "Kate, go get my shoe".  She turns, goes down the stairs and brings up my sandal.  I held out my hand and she gave it to me.  Unfortunately, it became the greatest chew toy.  I am hoping I can have new straps put on.  I had an old painted slick pair that I am wearing for now.  Doodles are like two year olds.  You want to be made but they are so darn cute and funny it is hard to be.  Have a great day.

I guess at least she brought it back to you. I am pretty sure Annabelle would just start licking me and not have a clue what I just said. I hope the shoe can be fixed.

Kate sounds like a super well-trained doodle who also enjoys chewing sandals. Congratulations on teaching her English. I'm impressed! ;o)

She is one year old. She is half toddler where you want to laugh at her instead of disciplining her and half teenager where she has selective hearing. She listens at her own schedule. One time she will sit immediately and next time she looks at you like she is thinking "really". She is a sweet dog though.
