Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hi,

I am picking up my first goldendoodle in a couple weeks and was wondering what type of coat she will have once she is full grown.  She is an f1b goldendoodle, in this picture she is 5 weeks old.

I am no expert in this area, but whatever type of coat she ends up with she is adorable.  Their coats change a lot in the first year, so it is a wait and see situation.  My guy is an F1 labradoodle with a short shedding coat.  A non-shedding or light shedding coat would have been great, but he is a heavy shedding 24/7 doodle that I love dearly.

She's super cute and reminds me of my first doodle many many years ago.  She is going to be beautiful no matter what coat she ends up with.  Looks poodly to me but there are so many changes before the adult coat settles.  Check out and post in the Grooming group where you should find lots of photo's, it's fun trying to guess.

She reminds me so much of my Fudge and her coat type is beautiful :)  Fudge is an F1B Labradoodle.

Fudge-along the way:

I hope this helps. She is beautiful. I usually keep Fudge's hair shorter than this, because she mats if I don't.

wow Laurie, I didn't relize you had so many pictures of Fudge ;)

Do you like how I was able to get them all into Jessica's discussion? LOL It is just that her puppy reminds me so much of Fudge. Jessica, Ignore Amy's sarcasm. I am just trying to help :)

The new puppy really does look like Fudge.  Wow.  It will be interesting to follow her development and see if the amazing resemblance continues.

I will make sure to post pictures as she grows :)

Fudge is such a beautiful dog! How old is she in the first picture?

I'm no expert either but it looks like your STINKIN' CUTE puppy may end up with a wavy fleece type coat.  Everyone already stated it below, you never know exactly what the coat will be like as an adult but it sure is fun trying to guess.

I'm in the same boat as Christine; Stanlee, like Camus, has "hair" and he sheds like a cat!  Stan's hair is a tad longer than Camus so the hairballs I sweep up on a DAILY basis may be a bit larger BUT the end result is the same......there is always a ball of hair that gets away.

Oh I bet your so in love! What a sweet sweet face. Let's chat here because my puppy is 5 weeks old too I don't know which one in the litter I will get yet. You picked out a good one!
