Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Does anyone have any experience with Cockpoos?? We would MAYBE like to add another doggie to our family but two doodles the same size as ours would be a bit "crowded" shall I say. I saw a cockapoo the other day-I actually though it was a medium or mini doodle. He was sooo cute and seemed very well behaved. Any info is appreciated.

Why not get a medium or minidoodle? There are many smaller labradoodles and I think goldendoodles now are also available in smaller sizes.
Considering a medium labradoodle or goldendoodle also but if they had that "mouthiness" that our Thomas had as a puppy-we may lose our minds this time around. Though we would like to shake things up a bit with a different mix and I have heard that these cockapoos are intelligent, eager to pls, well behaved, and they do not attack us like "jaws" until they are 6 mths old!!!
You are so lucky !!- but I believe it is a breed specific thing and from what I understand it may be more common in the GD. There have been dozens if not hundreds of discussions on this forum about the nipping and biting that doodle puppies demonstrate. Our guy doesn't do it anymore, but trust me, he was a "VAMPIRE". His fangs came out at 5pm every evening!! He was really cute though but my skin and scars are still healing.
That is one thing I really wish to avoid after six mths of it with the "Tom Cat". I was hoping someone with a Cpoo could fill us in. BTW-if I could find a doodle like Noah-I would bring him home in a heart beat. He is one of my favourites on DK.
Thomas must be much more settled down than Toby to be considering a second dog....
He has his moments-but everyone I know with two dogs says it seems to complete the experience. They will have companionship in each other and play together etc.
All of the above pictures are actually cockapoos. They are so similar to our doodles are they not. I hear what great dogs these C-poos are-recommended for seniors etc.(Not that I am near there yet-although some days I wonder) If we get a second-we were looking for something NOT as high energy as our GD but something that can keep up with him.
Check out GBK's Buddy--the biggest cockapoo I've ever seen..he's lovely:

and next to him is her labradoodle Kona:

OMG, he is soo lovely-and large for a C-poo but still no where near the size of our 83 pounder I hope. Actually-now that I look at the picture of him beside the van-he just may be as BIG. That would be just my luck expecting a 25 lb dog and having it grow to 75 lb's. We'll see.
I thought GBK's Buddy was a GoldenDoodle?
I like "strains" in the same sentence as doodles..LOL..since doodles are kinda like a virus, a virus that makes you want MORE!
Adina showed you pictures of Buddy. He is a great dog - but as big as a standard poodle. I don't know if his size is extremely unusual or not, but if you want a small dog......... Buddy is owned by GBK and I know that she has been very pleased with his breeder, so much so that she got Kona, her medium labradoodle, from the same place. I have a small medium ALD and he isn't mouthy at all - except he loves to give kisses.
