Wow. I could not imagine spending that much on a collar. When I see something that much money my mind processes it like "Well that's a week and half of my daughters daycare" or I convert it into a gas money exchange chart. Haha.
I promise I'm not a super cheapskate! I'm just living on a single working mothers budget :)
Now my daughter on the other hand... she is pretty darn spoiled! My pets are spoiled to a degree. They do have some really nice things- even some things that were outside of my budget but I just had to splurge. I'd love to splurge on those types of things but then my mortgage wouldn't get paid. Ah... dreaming of champagne on a koolaid budget ;)
I'm a college student, I understand your mindset completely. :-)
My understanding is that a rolled leather collar (as opposed to a flat collar) will help prevent matting around the neck. Anyone know of a good brand that has these rolled leather collars?
friends of mine gave Cubbie a Coach collar because they said that my expensive dog needed an expensive collar lol. I don't put it on him that often though because it is easier to use a standard collar. I don't feel like I get as good of a fit on the Coach collar.
We love the Walk-e- Woo collars for every day. We use the boomerang tags on them and for special occasions these hand beaded collars from Kenya are beautiful and very hard wearing. It's a charity business too.I don't like any of the designer collars, too much money for a label. Oh also these are gorgeous (though expensive) Holly and Lil from the UK, beautifully made and very hard wearing also.
I have seen them periodically at the Coach outlet store near me. They only have traditional buckles, though, so this is something to consider.
