Riley is ready for another collar. He goes through them quickly (not as quickly as his harnesses ((plural many times)) which he chews through every chance he gets) and It's time for another.

I've never used a martingale - any opinions on them, and should we try it this time?

I had to add a pix taken yesterday - his "new" cut and his best friend!

Thanks, Karen

They responded to my email, and unfortunately they don't offer embroidery; however they said they may in the future. When they do, I'll be first in line!

We should have a play date!

A play date would be lovely.  I'll add you as a friend so we can private message each other and set something up this summer!

I got a custom embroidered leather collar from Hot Dog collars. I've had it on the dog for over a year and it looks brand new. I got pink with purple embroidery. I love it because we don't have to have name / phone tags on the collar any more.

I love Georgia's collar and would purchase another one in a heartbeat from this company.
The company is flying dog collars.
I got the one that has the info engraved on the clasp. I don't like the noise of dangling tags etc, and if I were a dog I might not like it either, so I always find some way to make it quiet.

They are well made. And the service was great.

Thanks everyone for great suggestions! I bought a wonderful one from fox valley dog collars, also on etsy. It's embroidered and reflective! The only reason I'm not ordering another is because I prefer the fabric collars, which she doesn't make.

Martingale or buckles - any preference?

I like the martingale style. It doesn't need to be so tight on them when they are just hanging out. And of course it gets tighter and they cannot back out of it when they are on leash. A nice safety feature.

Lupine collars, leashes and harnesses are guaranteed for life, even if chewed. Lots of beautiful styles to choose from. I love my lupine stuff. I use a martingale collar Max is a lovely walker and that helped a lot, they also can't back out of them which adds to safety.

Thank you Julie and Lori. Decision made - I will order a martingale!

Martingales are okay for walking on-leash, but not for wearing all of the time. We used a corrective collar for training.  Fabrid or nylon ribbed collars of any kind mat Ned's coat so he wears either a rolled leather collar or a water collar made by HotDogsAllDressed.

Thank you Nancy. Since I keep their collars on all the time, I will stick to the buckle. I believe our trainer had the same thoughts.
