Crazy habits

[Christy&Riley]

Riley has to spin in circles probably 10 times at least before going poo. Then, if something sidetracks her (which is any sound or movement) it's like she loses count and has to start all over again. I'm standing there freezing saying Puulease hurry up!!! A cute habit she has is when she puts both paws over her eyes and moves them towards her nose. Would think she would go the other way to get the hair out of her eyes. Picture below. Does your doodle have any funny habits?

Riley is very cute, especially with her eyes covered!  Ned likes to be by himself to eat.  He prefers us to put his bowl in the shower, leaving the door only partly open.  He returns at night, in the dark......  I hear his crunching.  Clancy gathers toys and lays on top of the pile - a true hoarder personality.

How did you ever figure out he wanted the food in the shower? That's funny! Riley will out of the blue run back to her crate to pull another toy out. She also lays on top of them. Can't see how it is comfortable.

We kept putting it further away from the others so he could have his 'privacy.'  When we are in the RV, Ned's food is placed in the bedroom area rather than the kitchen area, however I hear him crunching away once I turn out the light!

I have a circler too but it's more at the back door than at the place of "activity".  He is more than a bit OCD.  At least you have plenty of warning!

Now that you mention it she also circles at the door and whines. When I didn't move quick enough yesterday she put her front paws on the wall. Not happy about that one. I'm definitely a red doodle fan!

OK... my redhead also paws at the wall.  She did it much more as a puppy.  She would be playing in my office and then I'd see her at the wall trying to grab flowers off the wallpaper.

Morgan does the same type of thing, except instead of circles, she does Crazy 8's. And, like Riley, if she hears something, or sniffs something in the air, she stops, then has to start all over again! So frustrating and I am sure it is hilarious to other people watching. Another crazy habit is, whenever we sneeze, she jumps up and gets one of her toys and brings it to us. She's so cute when she does it as she has this concerned look on her face as if we just had some sort of fit.

Yes, I've often thought what people must think of me in the front yard with this goofy dog. Lightening, thunder and fireworks don't even phase Riley but a sneeze will stop her in her tracks. Doesn't bring a toy though. That's so cute!

Enzo does the pawing thing over her eyes...many times while wriggling on her back. She also will hold a toy of some kind in both paws while wriggling on her back. All my Goldens did both these things, so I thought maybe it was a Golden trait.
