When Annie is excited to see someone or meets a new dog, she always whimpers like she is just so excited she has to vocalize it. It's the same whimper that she used to do when I would get home from a day out, and walk up to her crate to let her out. Like "OH MY GOD I'm SO GLAD YOU'RE HOME!  LET ME OUT AND HURRY!"  ...Not like she's hurt or sad, just like she's SO excited and she just can't hide it!

I'm just curious if there are any other 'sensitive' doodles out there that express excitement of seeing people or other dogs with a whimper? She just runs around the other dog or person, jumping on people and whimpering! What a nut.

Oh my heck, this photo is so cute!

LOL!! That is sooo doodle funny :0
Zoe whimpers/squeals out of excitement! But only when she's realllllllly happy. Or she makes a wawooooo purring sound. Can't explain it haha!
Benders expression is a smiling face while he jumps and punches me with his big ol bear paws. Gotta work on that its getting ridiculous because he's almost as tall as me when standing! He only jumps half the time tho...

Oh good to know we're not the only ones... We are working so hard with Annie on the jumping.  She is doing phenomenal with US, but if someone new - or anyone other than my husband or I - forget it, it's like she is a kangadoodle.  I can't even talk to my visitors because the first five minutes is me going "AH AH AH - Annie!  OFF!  OFFFFFFFFF - we're trying to get her to stop jumping, I'm so sorry AH AH AH ANNIE!" ugh, one of these days!!

Oh how cute--we have jumpers (2) and a barker--but no whimperers--although my neighbor's golden retriever whimpers--is Annie a GD or an LD??

She is an F1 labradoodle - big old 70 lb 9 month old baby!

Bailey doesn't whimper but she does bring everyone a gift like Libby.  She will also turn around and rub her hiney up against you..kind of like a cat, until you acknowledge her...And maybe give her a good above-the-tail scratching LOL

Funny Elizabeth.  Oliver does the exact same thing!!!!

Jackdoodle cries and whines when my DD gets home from a business trip. Joyful little barks are his usual greetings for family members, but only my DD gets the whining and crying before the barking, lol.

Chance will scamper around, often with a toy in his mouth, when he is excited

Gavin will whimper at the window sometimes when one of the neighbourhood dogs walks by.

Woody whimpers for some people, and does the chewbacca sound for me when I get home..lol, I love it
